In Warren Wood there stands a special tree
A Beech that for long has meant a lot to me
For carved in its ancient bark, that all can see,
Are the entwined initials of my wife and me.
Fifty years have passed since it was first done;
With vows exchanged, we pledged to live as one.
A promise that two Lovers did with one accord,
Consider a most fitting, sacred moment to record.
Though scars have long healed, passing glances
Show that although the years and age advances,
Initials carved upon the trunk, that fateful day,
Remain a token of the Love we pledged that day.
